About the workshop

This two-hour workshop will give you an understanding of what is Occupational Burnout, Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma and help you build a self-care tool kit full of connection, community and compassion.

Why should you do this workshop?

In 2022, the World Health Organisation will include burn-out in the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases as an occupational phenomenon. It is defined as

“a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It is characterized by feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion; increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job; and reduced professional efficacy.”

Sound familiar?

You cannot simply self-care your way out of burnout and compassion fatigue. This workshop will help you explore your how to identify your signs of burn-out and fatigue, develop a deep connection with yourself and your network, harness the power of community and leverage you personal attributes to create a tool kit for self-care.
