What is this workshop?

This two-hour workshop will give you an understanding of Occupational Burnout, Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma and help you create a new framework for self-care.

The Great Resignation is upon us. In 2022, the World Health Organisation will include burn-out in the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases as an occupational phenomenon. It is defined as

“a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It is characterized by feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion; increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job; and reduced professional efficacy.”
